Moss Soccer Club increases its Leadership - On the Internet

From early on, Moss Soccer Club has put its money into the development of functional and informative websites. The pages are provided by Brikken AS, and are developed in cooperation with ViaNett AS. The paper TIPS chose mossfk.no as the country’s best website among Elite Series clubs, in February this year. Now the club increases its leadership by launching MFK InterActive in cooperation with ViaNett. In so doing, they better their profiling capabilites for sponsors and coworkers, and at the same time offer new possibilites to the public.

MFK InterActive contains SMS services which can carry out voting for the field’s best players via text messaging from mobile phones. In addition for those who wish to, is the possibility to download to the phone logos from Norwegian Elite Series and Division I clubs as well as English Division 2 clubs. The Moss Crows song can also be downloaded, and used as a ring tone.

ViaNett has brought its biggest customer, Yamoco, which owns maxsms.no and smsfactory.no among others, into the cooperation with the club. The company distributes messaging.

In addition, MFK has begun using ViaNett’s Forum solution so that soccer fans can have discussions. Moreover, the website now has one of Norway’s biggest soccer news pages, with news from both Norway and, among others, from England.

ViaNett chief Lars Helland says that, naturally it wasn’t just an interest in soccer and patriotism that led to the cooperation. When the soccer club in the city gets recognition for its internet solutions, that’s good marketing for the company.

"We hope to keep the soccer club on top on the internet, but the points on the field we can’t help with", concludes Helland.
